Palliative Care Partnership
Palliative care involves caring for people with serious medical conditions including but not limited to cancer, kidney disease, and heart disease. In palliative care, patients may still be receiving care for their medical symptoms or treatment for their disease. The focus of palliative care is alleviating the pain and stress of the illness both for your loved one and your family. We work with all Hospice care organizations that provide this type of service.
What is the difference between palliative care and hospice care?
When someone is on palliative care, they are still pursuing a cure for their illness. When someone is on hospice care, the patient has elected to no longer continue with curative options. However, in both cases, stress and symptom management for the family and the patient is the priority.
At CCS Care we believe that your loved one deserves to experience the highest quality of life they are able regardless of their condition, which is why we partner with Hospice organizations that provide palliative care. Those organizations provide nurse practitioners to assist with the management of symptoms related to advanced illnesses but are not able to provide 24/7 care to those who need it. At CCS Care, we believe it is our responsibility to fill in the gaps left by these services which is why we partner with them to make sure that your loved one gets the care they need.
